One of these days, he will have come to terms with the fact that he has a tiny sound. He answer people with meek voice and he dislikes himself after. He normally needs to call people twice to get their attention. He doesn’t like repeating himself but he has to voice his saying twice because people don’t hear him at first. He needs to clear his throat before speaking because his voice tends to come out like a squeak. He should be fine with it, or else he’ll be bothered for the rest of his life.

Right now, though, he’s trying to meddle in a chaotic banter his friends are having. He’s blurting out a joke, but he’s not heard. It’s embarrassing him and hurting him a little at the same time. But it’s not anyone’s fault. The others probably genuinely didn’t hear him because they’re too noisy. He just needs to speak again. Yell a bit maybe, or whine jokingly about not being paid attention to. Join the play. Maybe his friends will start teasing him funny and it’ll make him feel better because he’s finally being involved.

‘Cuz that’s what other people usually do. Interact with a light feeling. Learn to not take everything to heart, because friends are chill like that. All is well.

You’ll be fine.
